Access Training is a private training company founded in Cornwall in 1991 which now operates throughout the southwest of England providing training to both individuals and companies. As well as providing training to those seeking employment, we offer courses for those working in, or wishing to work in, the hospitality and security industries.

Our services for those seeking work vary from the Jobcentre Plus Mentoring provision, which is completely client-led, to creative large group-work utilizing the energy and vitality of today's youth on Gateway to Work courses. 

As licensing and staff training consultants, we can offer advice to employers regarding current government regulations and provide appropriate training in any of the British Institute of Innkeeping (BIIAB) and the Royal Institute of Public Health (RIPH) approved qualifications at one of our centres in Devon or Cornwall or at your workplace.

Our expertise does not stop with the unemployed and licensed trade. We can advise on staff training audits for any industry and deliver courses in Numeracy & Literacy, Staff Motivation, Team Building, Health and Hygiene, Food Safety, Security and Conflict Management. We are authorized to undertake Criminal Record Branch (CRB) checks for individuals and companies.

In some areas, under contract to Jobcentre Plus, we work with the unemployed to help them identify barriers, analyse realistic goals and offer support to satisfactory solutions. Working together, we address any individual requirements, consider retraining and advise on all the different aspects of employment search. We work with people with disabilities, arranging placements and so empowering them to experience different aspects of industry. Together, we are then able to assess their employment choice and offer alternatives where necessary.
