Is the RSPH Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Retail suitable for me?

This course is designed for those handling and/or preparing food within a retail environment. Applicable job roles would include those working in food storage areas, in-store bakeries, hot food preparation and service areas. Other job roles could include those working on the fish, meat, fresh produce or delicatessen counters.

Holders of the qualification will have a knowledge of the importance of food hygiene, associated food hazards, good hygiene practice and controls based upon an awareness of food safety management systems. These topics are regarded by the Food Standards Agency as being important to understanding and maintaining good practice in the handling, processing and preparation of safe food.

This course costs £49.00 excluding VAT.

 How long will it take me to qualify?

This is a short course, usually taken over the course of 1 day, with a 40 multiple-choice question paper to be taken at then end of the day.
