Is the HABC Level 1 Award in Health & Safety for Carers suitable for me?

This qualification is intended for candidates working in any sector of the care industry and those who are preparing to work or return to work in the industry. Persons gaining this qualification will know that Health and Safety is the responsibility of everyone within a business, including contractors, visitors and suppliers. Syllabus areas are regarded by the Health and Safety Executive as being important to maintaining safe working procedures in the workplace.

This is a single unit qualification, assessed by a 15 question multiple-choice examination. Topics covered include legal responsibilities, accidents, fire safety, manual handling, safety signage, work equipment, COSHH and first aid. There are no pre-requisites for this qualification but it is advised that candidates have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy or numeracy or equivalent.

How much will the course cost me?

The total course cost is £70.00 excluding VAT.  This price covers tuition, course materials, examination fees and tea & coffee refreshments.

How long will it take me to qualify?

The course is designed to be delivered in ½ day.
