These licensed premises might include pubs, restaurants, bars, sports and social clubs, hotels and nightclubs.
The BIIAB Level 2 Award in Introductory Licensed Retail Operations comprises 13 sections which are tested during one multiple-choice examination:

- Financial management
- Cash security and stock control
- Trade descriptions and Weights & Measures
- Employment law
- Staff recruitment and training
- Management of staff
- Marketing and merchandising
- Customer service
- Product knowledge and drinks service
- Catering
- Gaming and machine income
- Management of internal and external areas
Candidates who successfully achieve both the BIIAB Level 2 Award in Introductory Licensed Retail Operations, and BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders are also awarded the overarching BIIAB Level 2 Award in Licensed Retailing.
How much will the course cost me?
The total cost of this three day course is £350.00 excluding VAT which covers tuition, handbook, examination fees, certificates and tea and coffee refreshments.
How long will it take me to qualify?
The BIIAB Level 2 Award in Introductory Licensed Retail Operations consists of 3 days of training. You will be assessed by a closed book, multiple choice examination and on successful completion of the examination you will receive your qualification.
