What's it all about?
The CITB Health and Safety Awareness qualification covers a number of subjects including: The construction operative’s individual responsibilities for their own safety and the safety of others, typical construction hazards and how these are controlled, how everyone can help achieve better practical standards of safety on site, legal requirements and liabilities, working at height, manual handling, fire prevention, work equipment and occupational health.
Is it suitable for me?
The CITB Health and Safety Awareness, Site Safety Plus course is a popular route for anyone looking to take the first step towards a CSCS Labourers Card (Green Card) and to the progressive CITB Site Safety Plus suite of courses that range from training for operatives, right up to senior managers and directors. You must have a good standard of written and spoken English to undertake this course.
How will I be assessed?
This is a highly interactive course delivered by means of case studies, classroom discussion and group work. You will be continuously assessed and required to successfully complete a multiple choice examination. On successful completion your will receive your CITB Site Safety Plus Health and Safety Awareness Certificate.
