What's it all about?
The Driver Certificate of Professional Competence was introduced to ensure that professional drivers maintained their Continual Professional Development. LGV drivers can undertake a variety of different modules including: Emergency Frist Aid, Drivers Hours Regulations, Professional Driver, Health and Safety, Haulage Operations; Compliance and Enforcement, Haulage Operations; Road Freight Compliance, Load Safety, Analogue and Digital Tachographs, Emergency Actions, Vehicle Systems, Safe and Economic Driving and On The Road.
Is it suitable for me?
This is suitable for all LGV drivers who hold licence categories C, C1, C+E and C1+E. To ensure that you are able to meet your legal requirement you must maintain your 35 hours training every five years, therefore we have put together a package where individuals are able to undertake 1 day’s training every year to meet this requirement.
How will I be assessed?
The LGV CPC Modules use a combination of Informal and Formal assessment which will take place during the course to check understanding of the topic. A multiple choice question paper may be undertaken dependant on the modules individual requirements.
