All of these areas need to be managed and managed well to ensure that a catering operation runs smoothly and profitably, and completion of this qualification will provide candidates with the knowledge and confidence required to meet the challenges that they will face in running a catering operation.

The Level 3 Award in Kitchen Management is designed for individuals who are involved in the management of a catering operation, including Chefs, supervisors, managers of premises and administrators involved in the kitchen environment.
How will I be assessed?
The Level 3 Award in Kitchen Management is assessed through completion of written scenario responses that are independently marked by the BIIAB. This qualification is registered on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) at Level 3 and holds a credit value of 3.
