Level 3 Award in Hospitality Business Management



What is it all about?

This qualification is part of the BIIAB Hospitality Business Management Programme. The qualification consists of three individual units, Unit 1 – Understanding a Business Market – which aims to help learners establish a marketable vision for their business. Unit 2 Profit, Loss & Budget Control, which aims to de-mystify profit and loss accounting and financial terminology, and Unit 3—Motivating a team in business , which aims to help learners apply motivational theory and develop an understanding of how to build and lead an effective team.

Is it suitable for me?

The Level 3 Award in Hospitality Business Management has one simple aim: to improve business skills and give practical knowledge to help profitability, productivity and careers. The programme is aimed at experienced licensed retailers who own or manage business such as; pubs, bars, hotels, restaurants, night-clubs or any other venue or site where alcohol is sold.

How will I be assessed?

The Level 3 Award in Hospitality Business Management units are studied in the classroom in a single day, this is supported with self study prior to the course. At the end of each day, there will be a one and a half hour examination for each unit. This qualification is registered on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) at Level 3 and holds a credit value of 6.
