What's it all about?
The Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment aims to assess a learning and development practitioner’s performance in carrying out assessments of occupational competence in a work environment. ‘Practitioner’ means anyone with a learning and development responsibility as the whole or a part of their role (commonly referred to as the trainee assessor). The candidate assessor must assess a minimum of two assessments of two learners’ occupational competence (4 assessments in total). competence (4 assessments in total).

This qualification is aimed at learners aged 19+ and is intended for those who assess occupational competence in an individual’s work environment.
How will I be assessed?
The Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment is assessed through a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates the learner has met the required assessment criteria.
