What's it all about?
The Driver Certificate of Professional Competence was introduced to ensure that professional drivers maintained their Continual Professional Development. PCV drivers can undertake a variety of different modules including: Emergency First Aid, Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive, Digital Tachographs, Analogue Tachographs, Personal Wellbeing, Emergency Actions, Safe and Economic Driving, Rural and Urban Driving, Health and Safety in Transport, Manual Handling and Passenger Care.
Is it suitable for me?
This is suitable for all PCV drivers who hold licence categories D, D1, D+E & D1+E To ensure that you are able to meet your legal requirement you must maintain your 35 hours training every five years, therefore we have put together a package where individuals are able to undertake 1 day’s training every year to meet this requirement.
How will I be assessed?
The PCV CPC Modules use a combination of Informal and Formal assessment which will take place during the course to check understanding of the topic. A multiple choice question paper may be undertaken dependant on the modules individual requirements.
