This project aims to help those who are aged between 16 and 19, and not in education, employment or training to engage and meet the requirements of raising the participation age, where individuals in year 12 and 13, are required to remain in full time education.
The Programme of Study is designed around each individual and what they are looking to do as a career. The programme focusses on the individual undertaking a Vocational qualification, along with Maths and English qualifications.
To be eligible for this programme, participants need to be aged between 16 and 18 at the start of the programme. The individuals must also be available to attend the programme as required. Learners cannot attend two different programmes of study at the same time.
There are no other qualification entry requirements individuals need to meet to be accepted onto this programme.
Activities, Outcomes and Benefits
Through participating in the Programme of Study, learners will be expected to achieve a qualification in English and Maths, along with a vocational qualification related to the career that the individual wants to undertake.
At the end of the programme it is expected that learners will either go back into further education or move into employment or an apprenticeship.
